In its fourth year, the Excused Absence Comedy Festival is the only youth comedy festival in America! This year’s festival will take place at 2 comedy theaters in Austin, Texas over the weekend of August 11-12, 2018. With the increased access to theatre space, Excused Absence will expand the scope of their festival operations to provide more opportunities for teen and tween comedians to get up on stage alongside some of the most accomplished improvisers and stand up acts in the state of Texas.
The 2018 festival will offer 10 blocks of shows and 6 workshops to educators, youth improvisers, and comedy fans. With supportive educators, parents, and grandparents in the audiences, this festival reaches hundreds of creative Austin families who love to support local businesses.
